Studio B is a Dublin-based architectural practice providing a comprehensive range of architectural services for residential and commercial clients throughout Dublin and Ireland. Our work ranges from new homes, house extensions and renovations to commercial fit-outs, hospitality, retail and larger refurbishment projects.
We provide architectural services throughout each stage of a project, from initial feasibility and concept design through planning, statutory approvals, detailed design, tender and construction. Our approach combines considered architectural design with practical knowledge of the Irish planning system, Building Regulations and construction process.

What we do......

Design
Stage 1: Inception & Feasibility

Actions: Defining the project brief (requirements), site evaluations, and initial budget and cost projections.

Outcome: Feasibility studies and agreement on the scope of work.
Stage 2: Outline Proposals & Scheme

Design Actions: Developing the first sketch designs, assessing design alternatives, and consulting with the client for feedback.

Outcome: A developed sketch design that outlines the spatial layout and form

Design Development
Stage 3: Planning Permission

Actions: Preparing all required drawings and documentation and submitting the planning application to the Local Authority

Outcome: Securing Planning Permission (or a decision from the local council)

Detailed Design - Tender
Stage 4: Detail Design &Tender

Actions: Preparing detailed construction drawings, specifications, and building regulation documentation. Inviting and evaluating tenders from building contractors.

Outcome: Finalised construction information and a selected contractor

On Site Operations
Stage 5: Construction

Actions: Administering the building contract, conducting site inspections, and certifying the works under the Building Control Regulations.

Stage 6 & 7: Completion & Handover

Actions: Managing the final snag list, issuing certificates of practical completion, and handling the final project accounts.
